Heritage Christian Church

Three Month Video Proposal

Welcome to Heritage Video

This would be a 90 second video for the website which would serve as a first look at Heritage. It would introduce Jim and other familiar faces from the church, while also showing a glimpse into weekend services, ways to get involved, and ministries at the church.

Est. time required: 35-40 hours

Three Testimony Videos

We would capture three testimonies of members of the church. These could vary in subject matter from how they have been impacted by ministries at Heritage, how they came to know Jesus & how God continues to work in their lives, their response & call to missions, or any other story of life change through their faith.

Est. time required: 20-25 hours each

Two Sermon Bumper Videos

These would be approximately 90 second bumper videos used in-service as a transitional element from worship into the sermon. They would be themed to reflect the current sermon series, and could also be used as promotional material for web. The bumper videos would prepare people’s attention for the message, while also providing time for the band to transition off-stage and the pastor to get onstage.

Est. time required: 35-40 hours each

Three Ministry Promo Videos

We would capture three promotional videos for different ministries at Heritage. These would be 60-120 second videos utilizing motion graphics and/or captured footage to provide an overview of each ministry and offer a better view into how these ministries connect people with God’s purpose.

Est. time required: 35-40 hours each

Additional Video-related Needs

In addition to the time involved in producing these and other video projects, there are additional costs to consider. Lighting, audio, and other camera support equipment needs vary per project and can be rented for a reasonable cost, or purchased if needed frequently. Licensing music for videos costs approximately $75 per track. Some videos may require hiring production assistants or other crew, although a more cost effective route could be hiring a video production intern (Joel Hafner?) for a very limited role at an hourly rate.

Update and Maintain Heritage Web & Social Media Presence

In addition to specific video projects, there are other long-term goals to establish Heritage as a leading church in their use of multimedia to engage, equip, and minister. One of these steps is to update the web and social media presence of Heritage as a means to engage with the community. This includes creating content specific to each social media platform, updating staff photos for consistency, utilizing marketing and promotions for specific events and sermon series, and employing these tools in order to maximize the reach of the Gospel.

Develop Systems and Best Practices for Weekend Services/Events

In addition to specific video projects, there are other long-term goals to establish Heritage as a leading church in their use of multimedia to engage, equip, and minister. One of these steps is to develop systems and establish best practices for producing weekend services. This includes recruiting and training volunteers to fill roles during weekend services, updating and managing digital capture equipment and archival storage, distribution of services for web and podcast, capturing events and services for future promotional material, improving service audio production workflow, developing good communication channels for service elements and planning, and optimizing any other tools so that Heritage can be most effective in communicating the Gospel unhindered by ineffective and/or outdated technology and workflow. This also includes weekend service vision casting, special event planning, and other planning for live production, stage design, and pre-produced multimedia elements, so that any content created works in unison with the goals of each service, event, and ministry.

Further Develop Creative/Communications Staff

In addition to specific video projects, there are other long-term goals to establish Heritage as a leading church in their use of multimedia to engage, equip, and minister. One of these steps is establishing an effective creative & communications team on staff. This would be a long-term plan where we look at hiring new staff to fill certain roles, and further define structure so that a unified team is tackling all creative endeavors and church communication in the most streamlined and effective manner possible. This also includes further learning and training as a staff, through conferences and other resources available online.
